What We Talked About:
Genie Bouchard is a Canadian professional tennis player and the first Canadian tennis player to make the finals of Wimbledon. Genie was ranked in the TOP 5 of women’s tennis when she decided to undergo shoulder surgery leaving her out of the game altogether for over a year. Through recovery, rehabilitation and putting her body’s health as a priority, Genie has been able to expand her professional athletic career to include a new title, pickleball pro, having debuted for the PPA in 2024! Not looking to give up tennis anytime soon, Genie also made history just last year as part of the Bille Jean King Cup winning team, Team Canada (the first time Canada has taken home the gold). Her marketability has allowed her to garner a generous following, with over 4 million followers on her social media channels, 2 appearances in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, as well as numerous brand partnerships. Genie is an inspiration to all women, showing that you can always make new transitions in life, without leaving what you love behind.
